Kulich Russian


  • for Easter:
  • 40 gr. fresh yeast
  • 6 pieces of chicken eggs
  • 1½ tbsp. sugar
  • 1½ tbsp. milk
  • 1 kg of flour (sift)
  • 0.30 kg of margarine (butter)
  • ½ P. vanilla sugar
  • breadcrumbs
  • 0.15 kg raisins
  • 0.05 kg of candied
  • confectionery powder
  • 1 piece chicken egg for greasing
  • for the glaze:
  • 1 tbsp. cream 30% fat
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • ½ P. vanilla sugar

Method of preparation

  • To prepare the dough: in warm milk to completely dissolve the yeast, add half of this flour and mix well. Put the dough in a warm place for about an hour. The finished dough should increase 2 times.
  • In the ready dough to enter melted margarine (butter), salt and mashed egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar. All it is good to mix, enter whipped whites and the remaining flour. Knead not abrupt dough for cakes and put in a warm place until the dough has risen.
  • In the dough add the candied fruit and raisins, stir again the dough.
  • In a greased and sprinkled with breadcrumbs form for cakes to spread the dough (to the middle of the form) and let the dough rise.
  • Grease up the cakes with beaten egg and bake. Bake cakes for about 50 minutes at 200 degrees.
  • Pour in a container of cream 30 %, add sugar and then boil until thick glaze while stirring continuously. At the end add the butter and vanilla sugar, stir and once the top to put on cakes. Decorate the cake with confectionery powder.
