Piti lamb


  • 500 g lamb
  • 2 pieces of a potato or chestnut
  • 100 g of cherry plum
  • 2 PCs onions
  • 30 g of sheep fat
  • 50 g chickpeas
  • salt, ground pepper
  • saffron, mint to taste

Method of preparation

  • Peas rinse and soak for several hours. Mutton is cut into pieces. Peel the onion and cut into cubes. Fold the ingredients in layers in a clay pot or container with thick walls according to the following pattern – first the onions, lamb on top, then fat tail, the layer of peas, layer of plum, the taste of saffron, mint, salt, pepper.
  • All pour cold water. Put in the oven. After 1.5 hours, add potatoes or chestnut. Simmer until tender in the oven. Serve with finely chopped coriander.
