Ingredients

  • Octopus
  • Leeks (bottom white part)
  • Fresh tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • Olive or sunflower oil
  • Spices

Method of preparation

  • For this dish you can use different octopus–adult individuals or a small octopus. Before cooking, they must be freed from skin and wash thoroughly. In boiling water with enough salt to be sent the squid and cook for just a few minutes. It is important not to overdo it, otherwise clam meat will be tough.
  • Boiled the carcass cut into portions pieces. Cut the leeks and tomatoes we scald with boiling water, remove their skin and also crushed. If the time of year you can buy fresh tomatoes–they can successfully replace the tomato sauce.
  • In a deep frying pan heat the olive or sunflower oil and put the seafood and onion, fry for a few minutes. Then add the chopped tomatoes or sauce, all the salt, sprinkle with ground black pepper and cook for another three to five minutes.
  • Shellfish served with any side dish–vegetables, potatoes, rice or pasta.
