Satsivi of chicken


  • 1 chicken
  • 1 onion
  • pepper
  • carnation
  • dried ground coriander
  • Bay leaf
  • garlic
  • 4 teaspoons hops-suneli
  • hot red pepper
  • cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar or a few drops of lemon juice
  • 0.5 kg of walnuts
  • butter
  • a bit of pomegranate seeds

Method of preparation

  • The chicken should be put in a saucepan together with the onion and one clove, salt and broth and cook for about an hour, then throw in the Bay leaf, let simmer for 15 minutes. After removing the cooked chicken, break it into pieces and put in the oven to reach. Meanwhile, grind with a grinder walnuts, pound them in a mortar 2 cloves of garlic, salt, cloves and ground coriander, all this is thoroughly mixed, pour 4 small spoons hops-suneli to taste hot red pepper, ground cinnamon, pour in 3 tbsp wine vinegar or lemon juice and a little broth.
  • In the powdered nuts slowly pour in broth, bring to the state of sour cream, then spread to our spices, if obtained mass is rather compact, dilute with the broth, while our gas station down the texture will not be liquid, but not thick. In a deep frying pan passeruem the chopped onion with a clove of garlic, then add chicken pieces and fry on a slow fire for about 15 minutes. Then pour all this sauce, slowly stir a little heated on a slow fire, then put it all in a preheated pot and cover with a lid, put in a cold place to get enough for a couple of hours. Serve satsivi not warming up, garnish with coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds.
