Armenian Gata


  • Dough:
  • 850 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml of yogurt
  • 5 g of soda
  • salt to taste optional
  • 320 g of margarine
  • Filling:
  • 300 g sugar
  • 0.3 kg of butter
  • 3 g vanilla

Method of preparation

  • Prepare the dough by combining the flour with the salt, then baking soda, margarine, egg and yogurt. Then thoroughly shuffle. The dough is then cut into 3 portions. Make 3 balls, cover with a cloth and put in the fridge.
  • To make the filling: softened butter to make create foam with sugar. Append the flour and create a fine crumb. Divide into 3 portions. Of dough to make a thin layer and spread the filling evenly. Twist roll. Thanks to the fork to make stripes around the roll and cut into diamonds.
  • On a baking sheet lay out parchment paper and spread rolls. Bake in a hot oven at 175 degrees for half an hour.
